- Restaurant - when dessert or the bill arrives, not when they walk in hungry.
- Salon - after they like the mirror, before they pay and leave.
- Clinic - at checkout, on the prescription printout.
- Shop - after a successful fit or repair, not during a complaint.
Never stand over the customer and dictate the words. That is against Google's review policies and it reads fake. Ask, show the QR, give them space.
Pair reviews with the rest of the card
A review-only poster is easy to ignore. A QR visiting card that also has the menu, WhatsApp and UPI gets scanned for a selfish reason (order / pay). The review button is then one extra tap from someone who already opened the page.
What Google actually rewards
Fresh, specific reviews from real accounts help. Keyword stuffing in reviews does not. Your own card should mention area and category in the about text you control. Let customers write like humans: "Cut was clean, they started on time."
